Town of Lewis steps up its fight against New York’s throttling back of Home Rule
In the Town of Lewis, the public isn’t happy.
The public showed up at a Town Meeting on Monday evening at a packed house… To save the beautiful Vistas that have for centuries provided that local community with its identity and its backdrop of farming and country living in New York State.
That life, for many in Lewis is nearing an end.
The push of Technology and the coming changes to rural communities like this that, many believe, due to their lackluster economies, are being used by the legislature, the governor’s Desk, and foreign and US firms and their push to use those low income communities to feed their corporate cultures.
The key component?
Many do not have the financial ability to fight back.
